Nikola Tesla AR - Experience the world's first mobile augmented reality app to honor Nikola Tesla.
Nikola Tesla is arguably one the most innovative scientists and inventors of the 20th century. So why is he largely ignored in history and science classes across the country?
Using augmented reality, children and adults alike can now learn more about Tesla by downloading the free app and scanning poster designs with their mobile devices.
The app and its corresponding interactive posters up the ante on the "edutainment" experience. By way of 3D animation and the video playback of short documentary films, the AR app brings awareness to Tesla’s dream of a world with free, renewable energy. We're helping to make this dream a reality via education.
How the app works
Each of the four poster designs features interactive 3D animation or video to educate people about Nikola Tesla and his dream of a world with free, wireless power and communications.
Tesla Coil Vortex + Tesla Coil Vector poster
The Tesla Coil Vortex and Tesla Coil Vector posters contain an embedded, interactive 3D animation.
Working with wireless electricity and Tesla coil expert, Gary Peterson, a mathematically correct 3D coil model has been animated to provide a step-by-step animation of how it works.
Lightning Strikes AR
The Nikola Tesla AR app and interactive artwork is an interactive component to author John F. Wasik's book, Lightning Strikes: Timeless Lessons in Creativity from the Life and Work of Nikola Tesla. Click here for more info.
"Tesla" Serbian Book
The Nikola Tesla AR app and interactive artwork is included as an interactive component to the Serbian published book, Tesla.

The Turkish Chamber of Electrical Engineers of Izmir newsletter recapped the Nikola Tesla Symposium including the Nikola Tesla AR app and interactive posters. Click here for the PDF article.
Exhibitions + Demonstrations
The project was selected as Geekadelphia's crowdfunding project of the week.
Tech blog, TechFaster.com, wrote this article about the project.
"If you peruse Yetzer's Indiegogo page you'll find that not only is the artwork and app educational, it's magnificent. Yetzer is an awesome artist and after watching the videos you'll see how he hopes to both preserve the legacy of the famous scientist as well bringing it to life."

"Yetzer Studio's posters provide an augmented reality experience which immediately captures the attention of the modern day scholar. Tacony Academy Charter School emphasizes invention and problem solving. The Nikola Tesla interactive posters provide the ideal inspiration for any STEAM school. Brian Yetzer is an innovator in curriculum resources. This is not paper based or computer based; rather it is a combination of the two. It requires user engagement and self-discovery which shows Yetzer Studio’s understanding of how to activate the learning experience. Thanks to Brian Yetzer for being a career mentor to students as well as an innovator in his field."
